“PRESIDENT TRUMP MAY HAVE HIS ALTERNATIVE FACTS,

Recognising that:

  • with politics in disarray, a rational response to the climate crisis must now be advanced through the courts

  • the time available for effective action is short

  • the range of different organisations, groups and individuals concerned to progress action is wide, and that

  • the human and financial resource available to support litigation is scarce

Plan B, a charity committed to bridging the gap between climate action and the Paris Agreement temperature goal, is publishing a series of Legal Option Papers (LOPs) to:

  • inform discussion regarding potential litigation options

  • promote network formation between organisations, groups and individuals

  • assist an informal, networked process of case prioritization.

LOPs do not constitute legal advice.  Any person or entity considering pursuing litigation should consult with a lawyer who is licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
